Welcome to KBS1

A Letter from our Director
It’s the new academic year of 2025-2026 and we welcome everyone to another page in our shared journey of Excellence in Learning. We pray to God Almighty that the new page we are turning will hold intellectual growth, meaningful accomplishments and developments that help to shape the future of KBS1 and the students in our care, while not forgetting the staff who make things happen.
As Stakeholders, we face the responsibility of ensuring that KBS1 as a learning environment is not only safe and nurturing for our students, but our instructions are also current, in a rapidly evolving world.
Equipping our students, not only with the required competencies they need, but more importantly the values that will help them direct their lives with confidence, is our purpose and essential focus.
In our endeavors as educators, we maintain the kind of parental involvement that encourages our students to bring questions, concerns, and anxieties forward to be addressed. On our part, we take the responsibility of acknowledging such questions as opportunities to engage our students with appropriate educational responses that grow our students intentionally and strategically. Understanding their role as global citizens, while not an easy task, does not exclude parental involvement. Our purpose at KBS1 is a powerful extension of our duties as Educators and Instructors of knowledge.
At the heart of our mission is a deep commitment to cultivating critical thinkers, problem solvers, and global citizens who hold responsibilities and positions that strive to equip our students with the skills and mindset needed to lead the world in innovate ways.
In line with the vision of KBS1, to provide a caring environment that fosters a life-long love of learning, we take responsibility for our students to flourish intellectually, emotionally, socially, while making valuable impact to the global world. This is a serious and achievable obligation. Learning that is available for the learner, wherever and whenever it is needed is a committed goal to educating the whole child in KBS1 without compromising personal, cultural and social values or heritage that is well embraced for its exclusivity.
Kuwait will always need a well-educated and diverse workforce as part of the country’s future. Students’ lives, expectations, and the future – cannot be ignored but rather explored with a deep sense of intellectual inquiry dedicated to the future global success of this planet which depends on having the best available educational impact that can be had.
We plan to have a wonderful year of excellence and achievement.
Ms. Mercy Jaji
