Mr. Abdulaziz Al Meklef has been part of Kuwait Bilingual School since its founding, joining immediately after earning his Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from Kuwait University. Starting as a teacher, he worked alongside his father from the school’s establishment, playing a key role in managing operations and guiding its leadership.

As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Abdulaziz is dedicated to ensuring his father’s vision for KBS becomes a lasting legacy. His leadership focuses on sustaining excellence, growth, and innovation, strengthening the school’s reputation as a leader in bilingual education.

A devoted father, he cherishes time with his family and enjoys traveling, always carrying with him the values of education, service, and community that define KBS.

Director General

Ms. Mercy is the Head of Kuwait Bilingual School 1 and comes with a tremendous amount of work experience in Administration and Education. She started in 2010 as an English Teacher for Grade 4 and Grade 6, when the school ended in Grade 6 with about 5 or 6 students. With growth, the school progressed to enrolling High School students and she became the Head of Humanities and taught various subjects in the American Curriculum

Suffice to say she grew with the school.

Ms. Mercy comes with a lot of experience in the Administrative world having worked internationally in London UK, California and Texas U.S as an Administrator both in the Government and Corporate world. Her venture into Education came as a result of the encouragement of her daughter to bring her wealth of knowledge of Childhood into where it was most needed.

She holds a degree in Safety and Occupational Health and also a degree in Psychology from Columbia University and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas.

Maria Eliza Macena Pasa serves as the Primary School Coordinator and Head of Grade 5 English at Kuwait Bilingual School 1. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education from Philippine Normal University and is a licensed professional teacher in the Philippines, bringing with her 15 years of experience in teaching. Her extensive background has shaped her into an educator who is deeply committed to student learning, growth, and well-being.

Jamal Hassan Mahdi Amer graduated from the Faculty of Arts – Department of Arabic Language in 1992, and since then has dedicated his career to education, supporting students both academically and behaviorally. He served as Head of the Arabic and Social Studies Department from 2011 to 2023, where he played a pivotal role in raising students’ academic standards, developing effective teaching methods, and mentoring teachers.

Currently, he serves as the School Coordinator and Head of the Discipline Committee, focusing on interdepartmental coordination, promoting a culture of cooperation and commitment, and addressing behavioral challenges with an educational approach that strengthens students’ character while supporting their academic and social development.

Mona Mostafa

Mona Mostafa Abdelhadi is the Head of the Arabic Department at Kuwait Bilingual School and is recognized as one of the leading figures in Arabic language education and academic leadership. With extensive experience in teaching and supervision, she has played a pivotal role in curriculum development and in enhancing students’ linguistic achievements.

She holds a Master’s degree in Linguistic Studies and is currently a PhD researcher in Linguistic Sciences, focusing on contemporary issues in Arabic language and its educational applications.

In addition to her educational contributions, Mona is a distinguished writer and novelist, with five published works spanning novels, critical studies, and intellectual writings. She is an active member of the Islamic Literature Association and the Egyptian Writers’ Union and regularly contributes to intellectual and literary platforms such as Alukah Network and World of Culture.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sharia and Law, earned in 2013, and a Master’s degree obtained in 2016. Since 2019, he has been serving at Kuwait Bilingual School 1, dedicating his career to nurturing students academically, spiritually, and ethically. He began his educational journey as an Islamic Education teacher, where he focused on instilling religious and moral values in students while developing their spiritual and intellectual awareness. Over time, he assumed departmental supervision responsibilities and was eventually appointed Head of the Department, successfully combining practical experience with academic qualifications.

Through his leadership, he has made the Islamic Education Department a pioneering model, fostering academic excellence, promoting creativity and critical thinking, and instilling a strong sense of school loyalty and Islamic values among students.

Asma Mehri is an educator and Head of Middle School English Department. She has joined KBS1 since 2021. She has a focus on a good education to ensure that KBS1 students are well-rounded individuals prepared to face the challenges of the future with confidence and resilience.

She is a Master’s Degree holder in English Linguistics, Literature, and Civilization from Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tunis, Tunisia.

She strives to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged. Collaboration is a key part of her professional practice.

Bayan Abusamra is a dedicated and experienced educator, and a proud member of the Kuwait Bilingual School community. With a passion for mathematics and education, she currently serves as Head of the Mathematics Department working to build a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.

She holds the Bachelor’s degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Bayan Abusamra continually seeks opportunities to stay updated with best practices in education and leadership.

Hedaya holds a bachelor degree in English Language and literature from Hebron University in Palestine

She joined Kuwait bilingual school as a homeroom teacher in 2018, She worked as a team leader for 1st & 2nd grades, She was promoted as a group leader for early years in 2023.

She plays a part in guiding, Leading, motivating, and supporting Early Years staff, including performance management, professional development, and ensuring a positive and collaborative work environment to ensure high-quality education and care for young children, fostering their development and learning within a safe and positive environment.

Nermeen Taha holds a bachelor’s degree in education, equipping her with both the academic foundation and the practical expertise to guide young learners through meaningful learning experiences.

Beyond the classroom, Nermeen Taha has also earned a Diploma in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), which enhances her ability to connect with students, understand their needs, and inspire them to reach their full potential.

With a strong passion for education and student growth, she proudly joined KBS in 2021 as Grade 4 English and English Social teacher. Due to her capability and high performance, she was selected the following year for promotion as the leader of third grade team, which was a challenge for her, but she successfully overcame it with excellence. Which makes her qualified to hold the position of Head of Department for ESS, teaching middle school students.

Abdulrahman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, majoring in Sports Management, from the Faculty of Physical Education at Minia University in Egypt (2014), graduating with a Very Good grade of 80%. His academic background, combined with extensive professional experience, equips him with the skills to manage complex operational and educational responsibilities effectively.

With five years of experience as Head of the Physical Education Department, Abdelrahman brings significant expertise in leadership, organization, and student engagement.

Yasmine Malkawi is the Head of the IT Department at Kuwait Bilingual School 1 and a highly skilled computer engineer from Jordan. Since beginning her teaching career at KBS1 in 2018.

With her background in computer engineering, Yasmine brings a deep understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of technology. She has been instrumental in developing IT curriculam that meet modern educational standards, ensuring that students not only gain technical knowledge but also acquire critical thinking and problem-solving skills applicable to real-world scenarios.

Throughout her time at KBS1, Yasmine has focused on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. Her leadership in the IT department has strengthened the school’s technological programs and promoted a culture of continuous learning.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Kuwait University – College of Education, graduating with Distinction and Class Honors, which reflects her strong academic foundation.

As Head of the Science Department, Eman emphasizes innovative teaching strategies, collaborative learning, and the integration of modern scientific tools and technologies. She inspires both students and teachers to explore the world of science with enthusiasm and rigor, creating a dynamic and stimulating learning environment.

Eman’s educational vision centers on cultivating lifelong learners who are inquisitive, analytical, and capable of applying scientific knowledge responsibly. Leena Alenezi is a distinguished leader and an active member of Kuwait Bilingual School (No.1) since 2011, dedicating over fourteen years of experience to supporting both the administrative and academic staff. She currently serves as the Office Manager and Human Resources Officer.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Computing (2010), which has enabled her to combine technical expertise with strong administrative skills to enhance efficiency and foster a balanced and effective work environment.

She has become an integral part of the school’s daily operations while maintaining a strong commitment to both personal and professional growth.

Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to helping young learners navigate both personal and academic challenges. Whether through one-on-one sessions, group activities, or collaborative work with teachers and parents, Zainab strives to provide the tools and encouragement students need to succeed.

This team works collaboratively to uphold the mission and vision of KBS1, ensuring a safe, respectful,
