Mr. Abdulaziz Al Meklef has been part of Kuwait Bilingual School since its founding, joining immediately after earning his Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from Kuwait University. Starting as a teacher, he worked alongside his father from the school’s establishment, playing a key role in managing operations and guiding its leadership.

As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Abdulaziz is dedicated to ensuring his father’s vision for KBS becomes a lasting legacy. His leadership focuses on sustaining excellence, growth, and innovation, strengthening the school’s reputation as a leader in bilingual education.

A devoted father, he cherishes time with his family and enjoys traveling, always carrying with him the values of education, service, and community that define KBS.

Ms. Mercy is the Head of Kuwait Bilingual School 1 and comes with a tremendous amount of work experience in Administration and Education.    She started in 2010 as an English Teacher for Grade 4 and Grade 6, when the school ended in Grade 6 with about 5 or 6 students.  With growth, the school progressed to enrolling High School students and she became the Head of Humanities and taught various subjects in the American Curriculum

Suffice to say she grew with the school.

Ms. Mercy comes with a lot of experience in the Administrative world having worked internationally in London UK, California and Texas U.S as an Administrator both in the Government and Corporate world.   Her venture into Education came as a result of the encouragement of her daughter to bring her wealth of knowledge of Childhood into where it was most needed.

She holds a degree in Safety and Occupational Health and also a degree in Psychology from Columbia University and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas.

Maria Eliza Macena Pasa serves as the Primary School Coordinator and Head of Grade 5 English at Kuwait Bilingual School 1. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education from Philippine Normal University and is a licensed professional teacher in the Philippines, bringing with her 15 years of experience in teaching. Her extensive background has shaped her into an educator who is deeply committed to student learning, growth, and well-being.

Maria finds joy in being surrounded by family, friends, and positive-minded individuals. She enjoys singing and reading and balances her professional dedication with her role as a mother, fostering both personal and professional fulfillment. She experiences a sense of accomplishment whenever her students grasp new concepts and strive to improve themselves, believing firmly that students are at the center of the teaching and learning process. Her greatest professional success comes when her students achieve their goals and graduate as individuals capable of becoming the people they aspire to be.

At KBS1, Maria sees the school as a leading institution in Jahra that celebrates diversity and inclusivity, where every member—students, staff, and parents alike—feels a sense of belonging, uniqueness, and confidence. She considers herself an educator who goes above and beyond to ensure that every student is well-supported academically and emotionally, dedicated to nurturing their intellectual growth while fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sharia and Law, earned in 2013, and a Master’s degree obtained in 2016. Since 2019, he has been serving at Kuwait Bilingual School 1, dedicating his career to nurturing students academically, spiritually, and ethically. He began his educational journey as an Islamic Education teacher, where he focused on instilling religious and moral values in students while developing their spiritual and intellectual awareness. Over time, he assumed departmental supervision responsibilities and was eventually appointed Head of the Department, successfully combining practical experience with academic qualifications.

He is recognized for his exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and efficient management of time and resources. His commitment to continuous improvement has significantly enhanced the quality of educational programs and curricula within the department, making it a model of excellence. Through his work, he has developed innovative programs and activities that engage students actively while embedding Islamic and ethical values into their daily practices. He also dedicates considerable effort to supporting and mentoring teachers, enabling them to implement modern teaching strategies that improve both academic and educational outcomes.

In addition to his administrative and pedagogical skills, he is known for creating contemporary teaching methods that integrate theoretical and practical approaches, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving among students. Asma Mehri is an educator and Head of Middle School English Department. She has joined KBS1 since 2021. She has a focus on a good education to ensure that KBS1 students are well-rounded individuals prepared to face the challenges of the future with confidence and resilience.

She is a Master’s Degree holder in English Linguistics, Literature, and Civilization from Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tunis, Tunisia.

She strives to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged. Collaboration is a key part of her professional practice. She works closely with colleagues, administrators, and parents to foster a school culture that values continuous improvement and celebrates student success.

Travelling and reading books are her passions.

Bayan Abusamra is a dedicated and experienced educator, and a proud member of the Kuwait Bilingual School community. With a passion for mathematics and education, she currently serves as Head of the Mathematics Department working to build a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.

She holds the Bachelor’s degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Bayan Abusamra continually seeks opportunities to stay updated with best practices in education and leadership.

Driven by a strong belief in the power of inquiry-based learning and student-centered instruction, she aims to cultivate a classroom culture that values critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation. Her leadership supports teachers and students alike, fostering a respectful, inclusive, and empowering academic atmosphere.

Outside the classroom, Bayan  Abusamra is a proud mother for 3 children, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Eman Almazied has been a passionate science educator at Kuwait Bilingual School No. 1 since 2019, beginning her journey as a Science Teacher before assuming the role of Head of the Science Department. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Kuwait University – College of Education, graduating with Distinction and Class Honors, which reflects her strong academic foundation.

Throughout her tenure at KBS1, Eman has been committed to advancing science education by fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning among her students. She has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing engaging science curricula that combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications, ensuring that students gain a comprehensive understanding of scientific concepts.

As Head of the Science Department, Eman emphasizes innovative teaching strategies, collaborative learning, and the integration of modern scientific tools and technologies. She inspires both students and teachers to explore the world of science with enthusiasm and rigor, creating a dynamic and stimulating learning environment.

Eman’s educational vision centers on cultivating lifelong learners who are inquisitive, analytical, and capable of applying scientific knowledge responsibly. Through her leadership, she aims to nurture students’ intellectual curiosity while preparing them to meet the challenges of an increasingly complex and scientific world with confidence and competence.

Ms. Mashael Nayef Al-Anzi is a graduate of the Arab Open University. She joined Kuwait Bilingual School in 2015 and since then has proven to be one of the school’s pillars thanks to her continuous dedication and efficiency in financial management and accounting.

Mashael has successfully developed the Accounting Department by introducing modern systems that enhance accuracy and transparency, overseeing the preparation of financial reports, and coordinating with various departments to support the school’s strategic goals. She is well known for her passion and leadership spirit, always striving to build a cooperative team whose performance reflects positively on the stability of the school’s work environment.

In addition to her financial responsibilities, Mashael also oversees registration, admissions, and student affairs. She ensures accurate and regularly updated student records to facilitate the monitoring of their academic and administrative matters. She also manages the admissions process for new students—from receiving applications and following up on procedures to liaising with parents and providing a smooth registration experience that reflects the school’s professionalism.

Thanks to her dedication and ability to take on multiple roles, Mashael has become an essential cornerstone of the school and a key contributor to its success and sustainability, leaving a clear mark on the financial, administrative, and organizational aspects alike.

Leena Alenezi is a distinguished leader and an active member of Kuwait Bilingual School (No.1) since 2011, dedicating over fourteen years of experience to supporting both the administrative and academic staff. She currently serves as the Office Manager and Human Resources Officer.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Computing (2010), which has enabled her to combine technical expertise with strong administrative skills to enhance efficiency and foster a balanced and effective work environment.

Leena believes in the values of collaboration, transparency, and teamwork, and she consistently strives to build an environment rooted in mutual respect and accountability—ensuring staff stability and motivating continuous dedication. She has become an integral part of the school’s daily operations while maintaining a strong commitment to both personal and professional growth.
