Enrolment Guidelines
According to the Ministry of Education, the minimum age for enrolment in each grade level is as follows:
Step 1: Documentation
Complete the registration form and submit the following documents:
- Birth certificate
- Vaccination records
- Two passport-sized photographs
- Copies of the student’s, mother’s, and father’s civil IDs
- Father’s nationality (for Kuwaitis)
- Copies of the father’s and student’s passports and valid residence (for non-Kuwaitis)
- Previous year’s report card
- Any court-related documents (e.g., guardianship or custody orders)
Step 2: Admission Assessments
Interviews and Assessments:
- Personal interviews assess mental well-being and interaction skills.
- Academic tests in English, Arabic, and Mathematics align with the grade level applied for.
- A non-refundable 50 KD test fee applies.
Note: During assessments, students must complete tasks independently. Parental interference may lead to rejection and require retesting.
Step 3: Post-Assessment
Accepted candidates must:
- Sign the Registration Contract.
- Pay the registration fee and first tuition installment within 14 days of acceptance.
- Complete a medical file with the School Health Department.
- Obtain an Acceptance Notice for transfer procedures.
If spots are unavailable, students may be waitlisted based on:
- Academic performance
- Extracurricular achievements
- Application date
We will notify parents promptly if a spot becomes available.
We value fairness and transparency. If you wish to appeal an admission decision:
- Submit a formal appeal to the admissions department detailing your concerns.
- Appeals are reviewed within 30 days, and you will receive a formal response.
- Payment Policy:
- The first tuition installment must be paid within 7 days of acceptance.
- Withdrawals after payment: A 100 KD fee applies if the student has not attended classes. No refunds are given if the student attends even one day.
- Priority Admissions:
- Siblings of current KBS scholars receive priority when spaces are limited.
- Merit-Based Admissions:
- Admissions are strictly merit-based. No “wasta” (favoritism) is considered.
